Why is it important to fight against bullying?
Bullying. A word that we hear almost every day and everywhere, it is mentioned on social media, in the news, people talk about it…..
Where can we see bullying ?
Bullying can happen anywhere. You can see it at school, on social media, or even at the workplace. In schools, it usually happens between students, when one person is mean or hurts someone else. Sometimes bullying can happen in sports teams. And that all is very bad. It is all unfair. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected.
Why is it bad and how to stop it ?
Bullying is when someone hurts another person. It can be hitting, making fun of them, saying mean things, or even sending bad messages online. People who bully do it to feel powerful or because they have their own problems, and they cannot solve them. Ot nobody helps them. Or they cannot ask for help.
But by hurting others, they only cause more pain and dont solve anything
How do people who are bullied feel ?
When someone is bullied they feel sad, scared, and sometimes, or always alone. They might be afraid to tell anyone about it or feel embrassed. It´s really hard for them, and they often don´t know what to do. Even though we can see information about it everywhere, when it happens to you, you suddenly do not know what to do.
What can we do and help them ?
If you can see someone being bullied, don´t stay quiet. Tell a teacher, a parent, or someone you trust. It´s important for adults to know what is happening because they can help stop it. Even when you think it´s not your problem, you could be helping some one feel safe again. We should all treat other the way we want to be treated. Bullying is wrong and doesn´t help anyone. Lets be kind to each other and work together to stop bullying.
Our exhibition
And therefore we organized the international exhibition of the anti-bullying posters at Hotel Štadión, and our goal is to make people aware of the fact that bullying is a serious problem. Guests from Slovakia, also from abroad saw the exhibition and we are glad that they were interested. They asked questions about the posters and wanted us to explain what they did not understand. We are happy that we were part of it and that we contributed to a good thing.
