My Erasmus+ Trip to the Czech Republic

Taking part in the Erasmus+ program and traveling to the Czech Republic was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

Our group spent a week in a small but beautiful town Slavacin, participating in a youth exchange project that focused on intercultural dialogue and sustainability. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the host organization and the local students. The program was packed with interesting workshops, cultural activities, and team-building exercises. I especially enjoyed the sessions where we discussed environmental issues and shared ideas on how to make our communities more eco-friendly. It was eye-opening to hear different perspectives from students from other countries like Spain, Italy, and Germany. We had a guided tour that helped us understand the history and culture of the Czech Republic, followed by some free time to explore and try traditional Czech food. I loved the trdelník!

Staying with a host family was another part of the experience that I’ll never forget. They were incredibly kind and made me feel like part of the family. We shared meals together, talked about our cultures, and even cooked some traditional Hungarian dishes for them one evening. This trip taught me so much—not only about Czech culture but also about myself. I improved my English, made new friends from all over Europe, and gained a deeper understanding of how important it is to connect with others and work together across borders. I’m truly grateful for this opportunity, and I would encourage anyone to apply for Erasmus+ if they get the chance. It’s more than just a trip—it’s a life-changing journey.
