In Lithuania, the Erasmus+ CREATE project took on a powerful environmental mission — to turn awareness into real action. Students, guided by their teachers, launched a nationwide eco-challenge that united the entire school community in the fight against pollution and waste.
Over several months, learners collected 3.2 tons of waste paper, 15 kilograms of used galvanic cells, and 65 kilograms of plastic bottles for recycling. What began as a simple classroom initiative soon grew into a movement promoting responsibility, teamwork, and sustainable habits.
The activity encouraged students to rethink their daily choices, explore creative recycling ideas, and learn how small steps can lead to global change. Workshops, posters, and eco-campaigns helped connect environmental science with everyday life — proving that young people truly can make a difference.
By acting locally, Lithuanian students showed their commitment to caring for our shared planet — a message that echoes across all partner countries and strengthens the spirit of the Erasmus+ family.
