Hi! My name is Judy and these are my experiences from the whole Erasmus project up until now. 🙂
First of all, it was so fun to meet all of the students when they came to Czechia! I remember seeing their faces for the first time when we welcomed by with singing a couple of songs with our school choir. I was really nervous but their enthusiastic faces made all the nerves go away. ♡
A few months later some of us met again but this time in Lithuania! It was my first trip abroad with Erasmus as well as my first time visiting this country. I didn’t know what exactly to expect but in the end I was definitely very pleasantly surprised with how everything turned out. 😀
We spent our first day mainly by travelling but we had a ton of fun. On the way there I couldn’t wait to see all of the other students and get to know them better. The same day we had a party planned, where we all met for the first time. It was so exciting!!!
On the second day we got to know their school and Kulautuva city a little better. Firstly, the Lithuanian students welcomed us with their incredibly talented and well prepared performances, which we all admired. Groups of students then showed us around the school and later we all walked around the city together. The city is so beautiful I’m so jealous of you guys btw.
I even got to meet my host’s cat and dog!!! They’re so cute. (The cat didn‘t look very happy to see me lol)
The third day was spent by painting using interesting techniques and exploring the second largest city of Lithuania, Kaunas.
On the fourth day we explored a lot of Lithuanian nature and seaside. For instance, we went to a beautiful sea museum, where we could learn interesting things about different types of fish and other sea creatures. What followed was a trip to the sea itself, where we watched a beautiful sunset while walking along the beach.
The next day was also filled with discovering and visiting places all around this country. We even got to visit the capital city, Vilnius! Looking back makes me feel so full of nostalgia. I just want to go back and experience all of this again! 🙁 ♡
Our last day had a huge amount of sadness in it since we all knew we would soon have to go home. But we enjoyed it regardless! There was a farewell party and some delicious cake alongside it.
After that (with lots of tears in our eyes) we said our goodbyes and all had to return to our own countries. Overall t was an amazing experience and I’m SO glad I had this opportunity to meet new people and discover culture I would probably otherwise never get to see. I really miss all my friends who I met there and I hope I can meet them again one day!!! ♡♡♡ I wish you all the best!
