CREATE – Day 3.

Day 3 was full of workshops and enjoying good mood. Definitely breaking ice.

First, we took part in a dancing workshop, where we learnt the traditional dances of the other five partner countries and we taught them ours. It was really fun. The dance tutorial had been prepared beforehand at school with the students. Here, we realised, how similar Romanian/Hungarian folk music and dances are to the Slovak ones…while listening to and watching them we felt we are watching a Slovak dance. That is explained by the fact that in the past, Slovak history was part of Hungarian history, as well.

Then, we participated in an art workshop, /for some unknown reasons, that day all of us were surprisingly identifying ourselves as artists, so we somehow avoided the sports workshop :-D/. There where we created large posters promoting anti- discrimination, anti-war and healthy world and cooperation and unity. Students showed their creativity at its best. The posters they created are now displayed in the school lobby, so everyone entering the school can see them. We are so proud!

Before lunch, there was a SURPRISE. We found ourselves in the school yard and there was a tree representing the friendship we all share, and will share, the unity and the collaboration in our work for a healthy world. We, all coordinators of the partner countries, co- planted that tree and planted flowers around it.

That was a moment worth experiencing and it definitely left moving memories.

Afterwards, a visit at the Prefecture in Satu Mare was the official and formal part of the day. We were explained, how the office works, makes life of the citizens easier and we were shown around  the premises.

And then, the most cooperative activity so far: each team cooked, at the workshop at Szent Alajos Boarding School kitchen,  one of their national traditional dishes and a dessert. Honestly, we are so proud of our team! Vivi, Kika, Naty, Vaness, Zuzka, Dia and Nela… you proved that cooperation is not a stranger to you, that you are very able to work in a team to achieve the goal you want. You prepared delicious halušky s bryndzou and makové šúľance. A great job!

The final dishes were delicious, also according to our partners. Moreover, we also tasted the partners’ dishes and we learnt a lot about their cuisine!

Thank you all for the cooperation, and Ágota and your team, for the wonderful day!
