CREATE – DAY 5
Unfortunately, the final day of the meeting. A day full of emotions. In the morning, the teachers visited Ham Janos nursery and kindergarten, where the children performed a lovely show to them, they danced together with the teachers. They learnt how a tree grows, how to take care of forests, how to extinguish a fire, etc. It was so moving to observe how such young children know how to behave, while some adults still do not.
The students, at a workshop, participated in an EU parliament debate simulation, and at midday, we all participated at a holy mass in the cathedral. Students from partner countries were part of the program, and the whole mass represented the idea of solidarity, love, and peace. It was really moving.
After lunch, we visited the Maltese Aid Charity centre in the town, where we learnt how many various charity activities this organisation carries out for kids and adults in need. It’s spectacular, how passionate these people are for volunteering, and how they are able to raise passionate volunteers from their young age.
We met children from disadvantaged families there, and we brought them little presents. It was very emotional, and we realised how many problems people around us can have, and we might not know.
Finally, the goodbye party, gylyásleves and a surprise! It was amazing!
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this great day! Also, for the whole amazing week! We expected something special, but what we experienced was far beyond our expectations!
