Create – Day 2.

The second day of the first meeting in Romania was very tiring, though really educative.

We started it with a visit to the Museum of Mineralogy in Baia Mare, where we admired various shapes of minerals and rocks found in Romania. Honestly, we did not know, that the same mineral can appear in so many different shapes and arrangements! A beautiful collection of minerals.

After that, we visited a museum of a historical village, ´skanzen´, very well preserved and really interesting, and the students could see, what conditions people used to live in in the past. There was a number of wooden houses with thatched roofs, or wooden roofs,  the inside of which was really well kept, we could see the original environment of the historical life of the villagers. Moreover, there we also found a village school, and realised, how lucky the children now are, having the opportunities of the modern time.

After lunch at the local restaurant, we all travelled to see  the Tomsa Ostrich Farm in Calinesti, Maramures, where we, unfortunately, made one of its residents really angry. 😀 For which we apologize. It was really interesting for the students, as they usually see these animals only at Zoos. We were surprised how large they are and , also , by their personality:-D  At the farm, there is also a restaurant offering dishes made from ostrich eggs and meat.

It was a really exhausting, though educative day.

Thank you!
