As part of its ongoing Erasmus+ CREATE project activities, Kulautuva Basic School has been actively developing its school garden, providing students with valuable hands-on learning experiences while promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.

The school garden serves as an outdoor classroom where students learn about plant growth, biodiversity, healthy nutrition, and responsible use of natural resources. Through planting, caring for, and harvesting various plants, pupils gain practical knowledge and strengthen their connection with nature.

This activity highlights the importance of green skills—knowledge, abilities, and attitudes that support sustainable development and environmental protection. By participating in gardening tasks, students develop responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of how individual actions can contribute to a greener future.

The Erasmus+ project CREATE encourages young people to become active citizens who are prepared to face environmental challenges. The school garden is an excellent example of how practical activities can inspire students to adopt sustainable habits and appreciate the value of protecting the environment.

Through this initiative, Kulautuva Basic School continues to foster a culture of sustainability, helping students build the green skills needed for the future.
