The Kulautuva town library has opened an international Erasmus+ project photography exhibition titled “Pollution in Protected Areas,” inviting visitors to reflect on the fragility of nature and the traces left by human activity. The exhibition showcases photographs taken by students from Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Italy, and Spain during their travels and educational expeditions.
The young photographers documented not only sources of pollution found in protected territories but also the effects of natural disasters: uprooted forests, flooded areas, and damaged landscapes. The images reveal a striking contrast between natural beauty and the harm caused by human or environmental forces, encouraging viewers to rethink their everyday choices.
The aim of the exhibition is to raise awareness among young people and the broader public about the growing threats that pollution poses to nature and humanity. The organizers hope that this visual journey will inspire visitors to take greater responsibility for the environment and contribute to building a sustainable future.
