Members of the Erasmus+ CREATE project from Romania, Lithuania, Czechia, Slovakia, Italy, and Spain took part in an inspiring and creative initiative—the development of the storybook “A Hero’s Journey Across Europe.” This experience not only encouraged creativity, but also deepened understanding of different cultures and contemporary global issues.

The project was carried out through several structured activities. First, students from all partner countries selected key topics such as language, nature, geography, culture, literature, folklore, traditions, and customs. Based on these themes, they conducted interviews with local experts to gather authentic and meaningful information.

Following the research stage, a book cover contest was organised. Students created original designs, and an international voting process took place on the Erasmus+ CREATE Facebook platform. The winning design was created by the Romanian team.

Once the main elements—the cover, topics, experts, interviews, and the main character—had been selected, students began writing the chapters. Each country contributed its own chapter, consisting of several subchapters. Lithuania was responsible for editing and combining all parts into one cohesive storybook in English.

After completing the English version, each partner country translated the book into its national language, ensuring accessibility for a wider audience.

In preparation for the Erasmus+ mobility meeting in Lithuania in October 2025, students selected a scene from their chapter and created a five-minute drama performance. These performances were presented on stage during the welcoming event. All performances were recorded and later combined into a joint video for further dissemination of this collaborative activity.
