The Lithuanian CREATE team set off on an unforgettable adventure to Slovakia — a week that blended learning, laughter, and the spirit of Europe. From the moment they stepped into the vibrant city of Košice, students were immersed in a world where creativity and environmental awareness went hand in hand.
Each day unfolded like a new chapter. One morning they were inventors — turning simple materials like paper rolls and bottle caps into colourful creations that carried a message of sustainability. Another day transformed them into eco-detectives, exploring the KOSIT Environmental Centre, where they saw how waste can be reborn into energy. The visit sparked curiosity and respect for those who work to protect our planet every day.
Moments of peace awaited in Ecopark Sosna, a small paradise filled with herbs, bees, and calm. Surrounded by blooming gardens, students learned how nature heals and how every plant has its purpose. Later, their journey reached even greater heights — quite literally — as they climbed the paths of the High Tatras, where mist turned into sunshine and exhaustion into pride.
On the final day, everyone gathered to plant fruit trees — six living symbols of unity, one for each country in the project. Beneath the soil, they placed a time capsule filled with letters and hopes for a greener future. The week ended not with goodbyes, but with the promise that these roots of friendship will keep growing long after the journey ends.
The Lithuanian participants returned home inspired — ready to keep acting, creating, and caring for the world, just as the CREATE project spirit teaches: Care. React. Engage. Act. Tenaciously.
