Monday, October 13th: First Day
The day began at 8:30 a.m. with the departure, along with the teachers and students, for
Kulautuva Basic School. Transportation, shared between the participating countries, is an
integral part of the experience.
At 9:00 a.m., we participated in Erasmus Day workshops at the school:
Group 1 completed the activity “Erasmus Stories on Screen: Sharing Our Impressions,
” while Group 2 participated in an art workshop. These first few hours were crucial for breaking the ice,
understanding the context, and starting to share.
After a 10:00 am coffee break with the teachers, we had lunch at 12:15 pm in the school
cafeteria. In the afternoon, we travelled to Kaunas for a guided tour of the city center and
the Old Town and the observation tower in the Church of the Resurrection.
The tour was very enriching: I was able to see architecture, historic streets, and compare my idea of the
city with this Lithuanian reality.
In the evening, while the teachers had dinner at the “Berneliy Uzeiga” restaurant, the students attended a disco night in the Kulautuva Leisure Hall, thanks to a gift from the Lithuanian team.
It was an important socialising opportunity to get to know the other project participants better.
Valentina.
